UAAP finds a new home

Ending the two-decade partnership with ABS-CBN, the University of Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) secured a deal with new television partner Cignal TV for the next five and a half years.

“As part of this collaboration, select events of the UAAP will be aired on One Sports channel and its other digital assets, ensuring an engaging and expansive coverage across different multimedia platforms,” the UAAP statement read.

The anticipated Season 83 of the UAAP will be back in action and is looking to begin in April 2021.

The UAAP board is looking forward to the partnership as a new chapter that can bring the league to greater heights despite the challenges and moving on from its long time network partner.
