What secret ghost stories are the Walled City hiding? Netizens were in for a special treat when WanderManila presented "One Night in Intramuros", a free virtual tour on Friday, October 30, at 9 PM.

Due to the limitations brought by the community quarantine, WanderManila took to the internet a virtual tour of Intramuros, telling its history and some of its spooky tales, especially the story of Fort Santiago.

"When the American forces liberated Fort Santiago from the Japanese in 1945, they found over 600 decomposing body piled on top, one on top of the other," B Canabi, WanderManila's head tour guide said.

Other tales that were highlighted were the sounding piano of Plaza San Luis, moving things of Casa Manila Museum, the appearance of a dead priest in San Agustin Church, ghosts in the Philippine Constabulary Barracks, and many more.

Through the virtual tour, WanderManila hopes for the Filipinos to take an interest in the history of the Philippines.

"Philippine history has its share of cautionary tales, and we need to appreciate our rich history to prevent the mistakes of the past from ever getting repeated again," Canabi stated.

WanderManila is a touring and experiential group that specializes in custom private tours.
